Each Month we will cover a famous person in history. Students will create a History binder.

Each month the first 3 classes will look like this.
*The first class we will view a 30 min video and spend the rest of the class mapping character traits and human experiences. We will discuss cause and effect of these traits and experiences.
                       ** homework will be to work on a digging deeper assignment (found on individual famous
                            person pages). Due week 3 of month.
*Second Class we will do map work locating where the person lived or traveled to. We will Timeline important events in their life and what was going on in the world during the time of their life. Photo station.
                       **homework will be to fill out a front page of a news paper for that time in history including
                           information of the famous person of the month.
*Third class will include Presentations of digging deeper assignments and hands on projects. We will fill out a scrapbook page/journal page listing learned facts about the famous person. We will share time period foods at lunch.
                         **Finish scrapbook page

additional weeks in a month will be used to learn about art and work on art, hands on activities.

Through out the year we will talk about these famous pieces of art featured in the movie and learn about the artist and time period. Each student will work to create a reproduction of the piece for the end of year NATM2 party. I will provided art instructional tips to help students grow in their knowledge and ability.

Each student will select and work on researching a famous person from the movie. We will hold a movie party at the end of the year where students will come in character of the person they selected. We will have a "talk show" following the movie where students will tell about who they came as and about the person's life.
